Long before Haiti became part of the plan, there was The Journey Group.

Founded by Dorothy Jean, The Journey Group began with a simple belief: life’s biggest decisions are easier when we don’t navigate them alone. Whether relocating, building a business, managing assets, or simply exploring new opportunities, every journey benefits from the experiences, lessons, and expertise of others.

As Dorothy’s own journey led her to Haiti, The Journey Group evolved into a space where those experiences could be shared with others. Today, we support members of the Haitian diaspora and friends of Haiti who desire to build, manage, and thrive in Haiti by providing guidance, resources, and on-the-ground support rooted in real experience.

Because while every journey is unique, no one should have to navigate it alone.

Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m Dorothy Jean.

I was born in the U.S. to Haitian parents from Cap-Haïtien, and today, I live in Haiti. As a former certified high school English teacher, education has always been at the heart of my work. My move to Haiti in 2022 was a leap of faith, one that gave me a freedom I hadn’t known before. Guided by faith, I found a deep purpose: helping others pursue their dreams, especially in Haiti. For me, home isn’t just a place: It’s legacy. And at The Journey Group, I’m dedicated to creating a space where the Haitian diaspora can thrive and continue building that legacy.
